Welcome to Turville Forest Nursery School
Turville school is a small country nursery, preschool and forest school for children aged between 3 months and 5 years old. Located in the picturesque village of Turville, we are nestled in the beautiful Chiltern Hills. 5 miles west of High Wycombe and 5 miles north of Henley-on-Thames, our hidden gem of a setting has a fantastic view of both the Vicar of Dibley church and the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang windmill.
We are a great team of friendly, passionate and enthusiastic childcare professionals who provide a stimulating and nurturing environment that is necessary for optimal growth and wellbeing.
Our rooms run separate activities but we encourage an open and friendly extended-family atmosphere by having big group meals and designated play time all together. We also encourage good manners and a sense of traditional values. We know our children well and put each individual at the center of everything we do. This approach is also supported by our forest school which offers unique learning opportunities to our children.
Our forest school sessions are led by a qualified forest school leader. All our children spend extended time outdoors in all weathers.

Windmill Meadow is bursting with mini-beasts (and the neighbours are three horses!). Located on-site through a secure gate, it consists of a thicket and two grassy clearings available for our use at any time. Children visit regularly, and take part in a range of age-dependant activities designed to inspire child-led exploration and promote supervised risk-taking – such as climbing the rope ladder we made together!
